*DNF – Did not Finish

*DNQ – Did not Qualify

When there are more than 100 racers in the race, after the first run only the top 80% qualify for a second race. Where I have put DNQ (Did not Qualify) this means that I did not qualify for a second run and therefore did not get a result.

World Cup Rankings

Every time you complete a World Cup race within 15% of the winners’ time you receive world cup points. These are not based on your times but are based on your placing. These points are totalled up for each race and you are then given an overall placing. In addition to this your teams points are added up and your country is given an overall placing as well.

My results and Great Britain results are listed here:

ASD Points

In order for all ski racers to be ranked against one another, at each race we earn ASD points. Everybody starts at 990 points and the better you are at ski racing the lower your points become. An average is taken of your points at each race. This average is then used in the ASD point list and you are ranked against your competitors accordingly. I ended this season on the following points:

ASD Points

Slalom

92.05

Giant Slalom

91.2

Super G

99.19

Downhill

282.2

Combined

80.92

Combined points take your best two races from any discipline and the average is calculated. My Downhill points are still high as I have only ever completed one Downhill and hence the average that is taken is large.

These ASD points keep me ranked as the best Slalom and Giant Slalom British Disabled Skier - either male or female. I was ranked second in the British team for Super G and Downhill (for the 04 – 05 season).
